This was an interesting challenge. It’s seems that we are so quick to make assumptions about people before we really even know the whole story. Whether this was having someone cut me off in traffic and just sending them a happy smile, or a rude person in line before me at lunch. There were numerous times that I had to remind myself of the day’s challenge and rethink my actions & thoughts. In reality, I don’t know what’s going on in anyone else’s life, but my own. I don’t know where they’ve been, how their day is going, etc. I had to stop myself from assuming people were being their worst, but rather, forced myself to think ‘maybe they’re having a bad day’, and give them the benefit of the doubt. This challenge helped me to refocus my thoughts on seeing the best in people, rather than assuming the worst. BOOM!
Review of Day 3: Give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
