Plan, Prepare & Anticipate: But live in the moment

Look around you, life is happening

Life is interesting. No matter how much you plan, prepare and anticipate, life always throws you curveballs. I believe that in living life, the best thing you can do to prepare is to live in the moment. So many people are worried about what tomorrow will bring, but totally forget that they control their today. We are all given numerous opportunities to better ourselves. As was discussed previously, actualizing the potential of the person should be the utmost goal in life. In bettering yourself mentally, physically and spiritually, you are strengthening yourself for whatever tomorrow may bring. Focus on the now. Focus on the moment. Yes, you should always plan for the future, but don’t be so entrenched on tomorrow that you forget to live today. How many people would give there lives to have one more yesterday, or one more today. Because, in the end, you never know what tomorrow will hold, you barely even know what today will turn into. But what you do know is what’s happening right now. You control where you are, what you are doing and how you are feeling. You control how you let others talk to you, how you let others make you feel. Realize that you should ALWAYS view yourself as the best you can be. People can love you and hate you for whatever reason they have, but never let their feelings affect how you feel and act. This is always easier said then done, but I believe a person’s confidence needs to come from within.
It’s best to keep to what’s positive.

  1. My wife and I were just talking about this last night. Sometimes we get so focused on where we want to be that we miss where we are right now. Great thoughts Charlie!
