First Day Reflections and Second day goals

August 6, 2013 — 2 Comments

I spoke last night in the video that the first step of developing a company is figuring out things you enjoy doing or things you like that can be applied into the business world. My list so far is:

  • I want to share myself with others
  • I enjoy making people happy (the clown idea is off the table, thanks Mom)
  • I like philosophy and deep thinking
  • I enjoy writing
  • I like helping people
  • I want to inspire people
  • I want to change the world (No I’m not running for Miss America)

Okay, now realize this: the list right here is what I’m starting with. These are the things that I feel would be in my “perfect” position that I would enjoy waking up and doing everyday. Now the question remains, how in the world am I going to find something out there that will meet most of that criterion?  The next step of the brainstorming phase that I’m going to be working on today is writing a list of possible businesses or positions that would fall into my list.

The second thing I’m going to focus on is seeking out successful people to get their thoughts and advice. So, if you know of any success business people that would have 10-15 minutes to talk to me, send them my way!

  1. Wow, Charlie! About 20 years ago I took a class in search of the same thing you seem to be looking for right now. Didn’t help much, and although I went back to school to pursue one dream I had, I believe it or not, am still searching! However, with your determination and drive, along with the powerful networking that you are doing and the vast amount of social media at this time, I have the utmost confidence in you reaching your goal! And I must say that you truly inspire me, Charlie!
I too have been searching, in yet another way. I am not liking this body that I am in, and wanting to make a change. I am looking for a personal trainer, as I believe they will help encourage and push me toward my goal of a healthier lifestyle, since at this point in my life, I need someone to give me an extra push! Which brings me to the point of this entire comment. Have you considered becoming a personal trainer? You would be “sharing yourself with others,” “making people happy,” “helping others,” “inspiring people,” and you may not change the world, but quite possibly change their world! You could even go on to later write a book about your journey!
Just my thoughts and comments. Whatever you choose, I believe will be the right fit for you! I look forward to following you on your journey!

  2. Hey Aunt Sharon,
Thanks so much for your kind words and sharing. At this point, I’m not sure where day 30 will lead me. I know that years ago I wanted to be a personal trainer, but it just never happened. We shall see what each day brings!
